“Dr Joffily…what a character! I decided to undergo my surgery with Dr Joffily after having a few consultations with other clinics who wanted a much larger sum of money and didn’t know if they would even get the results that I wanted. Unlike some of the other surgeons, Dr Joffily didn’t make me feel bad about myself and was very comfortable to be around, he was very lovely. The clinic was top notch and the staff made the visit. My results are amazing and I couldn’t be happier, I’ll definitely be going back to Dr Joffily for any future surgeries. I can’t recommend him enough. Thanks to all the team!”

Questions & Answers

Breast augmentation is a plastic surgery that involves the improvement of appearance & enlargement of your breasts.

The operation involves the insertion of an implant into the body, or fat transfer, in order to accomplish the desired size, shape and texture of the breasts.

The implants consist of soft or cohesive gel and silicone contained in a silicone bag and are placed either behind or in front of the pectoralis major muscle, which lies under the breast itself.

In most of the cases the implants are placed in between the mammary gland and the muscle. Only in a few situations, like lack of enough breast tissue to cover the implants, the implants will go under the muscle. This happens in

order to offer some coverage and disguise better the implants.

It should be noted that the procedure should not interfere with the diagnosis or treatment of any future breast disease, and there is no relation with silicone implants and breast cancer.

Many women are dissatisfied with the size and shape of their breasts and that gives them a feeling of unhappiness and insecurity with their body. Breast augmentation is a safe and comforting solution, restoring confidence to thousands of women each year. Specifically, breast augmentation could help:

  • Enhance your overall appearance in case you feel that your breasts are small or asymmetrical.
  • Adjust for a reduction in the size of your breasts after pregnancy or significant weight loss.
  • Correct uneven breasts after breast surgery for other conditions.
  • Give a more youthful look to your breasts that may have lost volume and elasticity with age.
  • Enhance your self-confidence.

The breast enlargement surgery is suitable for every woman that choses to improve the appearance and size of her breasts. In Harley Elite Group, our goal is to make you feel good in your body. We will provide you personalized solutions if the following apply to you:

  • You are an adult with fully developed breasts.
  • You are disturbed by the size and shape of your breasts.
  • You are realistic about the results of the surgery.
  • You are looking for long lasting results.

The procedure is most commonly performed on patients with small, asymmetrical breasts or breasts that have lost volume or shape due to weight loss, pregnancy or age.

The surgical procedure is carried out under a general anesthetic. The operation time varies from patient to patient but usually the estimated time is 1.5 to 2 hours.

During the procedure, your plastic surgeon will insert the breast implant, by making a single cut (incision) in one of the following three places:

  • The crease under your breast (inframammary)
  • Under your arm (axillary)
  • Around your nipple (periareolar)

After making the incision, the surgeon will separate your breast tissue from the muscles and connective tissue of your chest. Then, in the pocket that is created either behind or in front of the outermost muscle of the chest wall, the surgeon will insert the implant and center it behind your nipple.

Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water once they are in place. On contrary, silicone implants are pre-filled with silicone gel.

When the implant is in place, the surgeon will use usually stitches to close the incision and bandage it with skin adhesive and surgical tape.

Breast enhancement does not interfere with breastfeeding and in most cases does not interfere with nipple sensation.

This is one of the most frequently asked questions by women considering this surgery. Many studies have shown that women who get implants are not at an increased risk for getting breast cancer.

In addition, implants do not delay the detection of breast cancer. Numerous studies, as well as evidence from the National Cancer Research Institute, show that having implants does not hinder the patient or their physician in finding breast tumors.

Finally, breast implant patients who do get breast cancer have the same chance of obtaining remission, or being free of cancer for 5 years, as women without implants.

It is possible that breast implants will need to be replaced at some point. Most implants have 10 years warranty. After this time, either because of problems with the implants or because breasts have changed around the implants, you will need to speak with your surgeon.

Breast implants will need to be replaced sooner only in the very rare case in which they break or rupture.

The recovery period for breast augmentation surgery is relatively small. You will be able to return to work after a week, but for more active and physically demanding occupations, you will need to wait a bit longer.

You should avoid stretching, strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for up to 6 weeks after the operation. You are also advised to avoid steam, sauna, and every activity or situation that may raise your blood pressure or pulse.

Stitches are removed after 7 days and the dressing is changed. Our surgeons recommend wearing a sports bra for support 24 hours a day for up to three months after BA.

The cost of such surgery is not standard, but it depends on various factors. It is different in every individual as it related to the implants and the techniques used for the procedure. Generally, the starting price for Breast Augmentation surgery is £5,000.
