There are two types of modern Rhinoplasty. In an open rhinoplasty, a small, invisible incision is made across the columella of the nose, between the nostrils, to gives us the required access. On the other hand, the closed method of rhinoplasty involves incisions only in the inside of the nose.

The operation is usually carried out under general anesthesia. An anesthetist is constantly in attendance throughout the procedure to control and maintain the level of sedation. • You should not blow your nose for a number of days after the procedure.
• You will be advised to do regular nasal douches.
• Avoid any exercise and activity for up to 3 weeks.
• Moderate walking as soon as possible after the procedure is advisable.
• Drink as much cold fluids as possible.
• You need to visit the aesthetic clinic again after 7 days to remove your splint and stitches.
